Melon pan (メロン パ) also known as pan Melon, Melon bread or bread, sweet bread products from Japan, but also popular in Taiwan and China. They are made from a rich dough covered in a thin layer of crisp pastry dough. Their appearance resembles a melon, or (watermelon). They do not fully taste the melon. But in recent times it has become popular for manufacturers to add melon to the bread. Variations include the addition of chocolate chips between layers of cake and enriched with a sense of caramel, maple syrup, chocolate, or other flavors, sometimes with syrup, whipped or cream, or pudding as a pump.
